Zen Luzniak - EYSA Director of Coaching
Zen grew up in New Jersey and Southeast
Florida. He graduated from Cooper City
High School in 1987. Throughout his high
school years, Zen broke many school
records, received many awards, and made
the NSCAA and Parade All American
Soccer Teams. While attending Wake
Forest University on a full athletic soccer
scholarship, Zen made the ALL ACC
Soccer Team. He was also a member of
the U.S. Men’s National Team during his
college years, having joined the team at
the age of 17.
After Wake Forest, Zen played for FC Utrecht in Holland and SSV Reutlingen in Germany. Upon his
return to the States, Zen played with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the APSL for many years earning
MVP honor; and wound up his career with the Carolina Dynamo of the USISL.
He has coached various teams while in Greensboro, North Carolina, and participated in numerous soccer
camps throughout his career. More recently, he has spent time coaching a boys CDL competitive team
out of Sarasota.
As a Rotonda resident Zen is looking forward to "bring it home" and using his experience, knowledge and skills to promote the game of soccer to
the coaches and players of Englewood Youth Soccer Association.
