EYSA 2010 Spring Soccer Registration
Welcome! We are looking forward to a great 2010 spring season!
This spring season we will be playing fixed small-sided games.
The 3 vs 3 format was chosen because it promotes player development
by encouraging more touches on the ball, passing and shooting
accuracy, and player movement without the ball.
SPRING SOCCER 2009 INFORMATION
COST
Returning Players: who played with EYSA in the Fall of 2009 - fee $40
New Players: Who did not play with EYSA in the Fall of 2009 - fee $50
A "returning player" is a player that played for EYSA in the fall of 2009. (no other seasons count as "returning player")
A jersey will be provided by the EYSA to each player. All players are required to wear shin guards at all practices and games. (not provided)
We want to make sure any child who wants to play will be able to play, so if you need to make arrangements for payment or are not able to make payment please contact
Melissa Jara
TEAMS
We will have set teams this season. 3 Verses 3. Roster size will be a maximum of 6 players and a minimum of 4 players.
Tentatively each team will play 2 games each weekend.
This is a recreational co-ed format season, and each player is expected to play at least half a game.
U-6 teams will have only 1 game per weekend.
We try to accommodate practice night requests for those who have siblings playing however we cannot honor coach requests.
The only player guaranteed a place with a coach is a family member.
Limiting the day(s) your child can practice makes it difficult to make fair teams and near impossible to have practice nights the same as a sibling.
SCORING & WIN/LOSS RECORD
The referee will keep score for all teams U10 and older.
A win loss/record will not be kept by EYSA.
For ages U-8 and younger, the referee will not keep score and a win/loss record will not be kept.
EYSA Spring 2010 Soccer Rules can be located
here
AWARDS
Because standings will not be kept, there will be no special awards for ages U-10 and older.
For ages U-8 & younger a special award will be given to every player.
